Abstract
Since ancient times, the course of geography has been combined with other scientific disciplines, especially statistics, mathematics, economics, sociology, history and psychology: one in practical terms and the other in terms of interpretation and definition of concepts. Therefore, in this research, the necessity of interdisciplinary study has been examined. This research is of a descriptive-analytical and documentary type, and the library method was used to collect information. The findings of the research show that various measures have been taken in this field so far, among them is the establishment of interdisciplinary trends. Although these measures are a step forward. Therefore, it is necessary to organize these types of studies and planning, and the gap that has emerged due to the over-specialization of sciences and their fragmentation must be repaired. The knowledge of geography has been prominent both in terms of its multidisciplinary nature and in terms of its application in environmental management. As a result, societies experience new issues in every period, and it is necessary to successfully pass that period towards a better future, finding suitable solutions for problems and issues, and this is possible only through participation and help from other scientific fields.
