Abstract
Background and Objective: Wind erosion is a natural hazard in arid and semi-arid regions that significantly affects the landscapes of these regions;. The aim of this study is to provide an educational guide for geography student teachers on how to use the ERIFER model to determine wind erosion. Method: The present study was conducted using the "ERIFER" model and by integrating library data, geomorphological maps, etc., along with field studies. Findings: The findings of the study indicate that the plain facies has the highest sedimentation rate, while the mountain facies has the lowest sedimentation rate. Next, respectively, are the clayey saline facies and the salt cover facies with very high sedimentation. After them, the hilly facies, low plain surfaces, and low and isolated mountains are all in the moderate sedimentation category. Conclusion: The results indicate the worsening desertification situation in this region and remind us of the need for conservation measures. It is hoped that the present study will be a guide for students and researchers in geography to provide a basis for achieving sustainable and responsible interaction with the environment by raising public awareness of environmental challenges and natural hazards in the area.
