Background and Objectives:In recent decades, the attention of education researchers to fostering creative thinking in students has increased. One of the effective approaches in this field is Edward de Bono's Six Thinking Hats model, which was designed with the aim of organizing and guiding the thinking process. This model introduces six distinct ways of thinking in the form of six colored “hats.” The present study aimed to examine and analyze the content of the history section of junior high school social studies textbooks based on Edward De Bono’s components of thinking. Method: The research method was descriptive and of the content analysis type and applied research approach. The statistical population of the research was the history section of the social studies textbooks of the first secondary school in the academic year 1404-1405, and the entire statistical population was considered as a sample. The measurement tool was a researcher-made content analysis checklist, and the research results were analyzed using descriptive statistics indicators in the "Shannon entropy" analytical process. Findings: In the history section of junior high school social studies textbooks, the components of thinking were mentioned 376 times.
