Background and Objectives: Today's world is increasingly aware of the value-sharing paradigm of knowledge sharing in various aspects of life from science and knowledge to business and governance activities. Despite the importance of knowledge sharing to improve the academic level of the university and its growth in educational, research and professional fields, the results of research indicate a low level of knowledge sharing in universities and higher education centers. Method: In the present study has been used qualitative method with grounded theory approach and have been conducted in- depth interviews with 25 students of Allameh Amini Campus in Tabriz by purposeful sampling method. The data collection technique in the present study is in-depth interview and the interview duration varied from 50 to 60 minutes. Findings: The findings indicated that six category in point of students such as the power of knowledge, high individualism, lack of structural support of the university, the impact of students' educational backgrounds, distrust, undesirable technological infrastructure conditions and lack of knowledge orientation among the students are presented as a causal factors of lack of tendency to knowledge sharing. Conclusion: The results showed that the realization and implementation of knowledge sharing in the university leads to the development of the university and the expansion of the university's social capital.
